Measured the original screw against this one before installing — it's noticeably longer, which is exactly what my deadbolt needed to reach through the adapter plate. Threaded in clean, no stripping, and the lock finally sits flush. Cheap fix for a headache I'd been putting off for weeks.

Was about to return my smart lock because the original bolts wouldn't reach through the mounting plate. This slightly longer screw threaded right in and finally let me mount the deadbolt properly. Two minutes to swap and everything's solid now.

The standard screws were too short for my August setup, but this longer one threaded in perfectly. Now the smart lock sits flush and operates smoothly.
